The Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) embarked on its journey in 2018, initially offering programs in Civil and Computer Engineering. Approved by the Government of Sikkim, SIST takes immense pride in its growth and contributions, particularly in its well-equipped library with photocopy and printing facilities.

The SIST Library is a cornerstone of our academic environment, utilizing the DDC 23rd edition for its extensive collection. We house over 5000 physical books, including a dedicated reference section, and provide access to a substantial number of e-journals and magazines. Currently, the library subscribes to J-Gate, offering access to more than 63,000 e-journal titles. Our collection primarily focuses on engineering-related resources, continually striving to bolster the teaching-learning process and foster a robust research culture among faculty members, students, and staff

For convenient access, the library offers an Open Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) system, ensuring all teachers, staff, and students can easily explore our resources. With a comfortable seating capacity for 50 students, the library also provides books and journals with photocopy and printing facilities specifically designed to inspire and equip students from this region for future employment, encouraging a library-centric approach to their learning.
